Book Review: The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F***
Just finished reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*** by Mark Manson. It was a really quick and easy read.
The main thing this book drives home is that you care about too much stuff. You're going to die one day, and should remember that as you choose what you care about.
Worrying about what other people think of you seems trivial when you put it in perspective.
Mark calls for a realignment of your values, which is something we all need to do. We accept beliefs and values as kids without the ability to reason and rationalize. Most people never go back and reevaluate the beliefs they accepted as a kid.
While this book doesn't call for a total breakdown of your belief system, it does alert you to the fact that your values might be out of line with your major goals.
I recommend this book for anyone who has an open mind and wants to live a happier life. Carefully choosing what you care about will help you to achieve happiness and make more progress.
