Music Lesson- Music and Literacy- "Giraffes Can't Dance" and Mood in Music
This is a fun lesson idea to go with the book Giraffes Can't Dance by Giles Andreae/Guy Parker-Rees. This is part of my unit on Mood in Music when we discuss how a composer's choices impact the mood of a song and how it makes us feel. It is also a movement lesson and the students get to move (with scarves if you have them) to each of the different song genres. Great for Kinder-2nd grade.
